This board sorts on a one-hour rental because that is what nearly every platform sells. Read the same platforms' longer terms and the hour turns out to be the most expensive slot on the ladder by a wide margin, measured per hour of rental. Below is the arithmetic, using only prices platforms actually publish.
Which numbers this uses
Most of the long-term cells on our board are our own estimates, derived from market ratios and marked with a "≈" wherever they appear. Comparing our estimates against each other would prove nothing except that our arithmetic is consistent, so none of them are used here.
What is left is thin but real: six platforms publish a genuine quote at an hour and at a longer term as well. Every figure below is one of those quotes, read from the latest scan as this page loads. If a platform stops publishing one, the figure turns into a dash rather than quietly showing you last month's price.
A day for barely more than an hour
Take the same 65,000 energy and compare each platform's hourly price with its own daily one. Brutus.finance quotes 3.12 TRX for the hour and 4.29 TRX for the day. TR Energy quotes 2.48 TRX and 3.45 TRX. Tronify quotes 4.75 TRX and 6.50 TRX, and Feee.io 5.31 TRX and 7.71 TRX.
Twenty-four times the duration, in each case, for well under twice the money. The clock is being priced as an afterthought.
It is not universal, and the exceptions matter more than a tidy rule would. iTRX quotes 2.28 TRX for the hour against 6.50 TRX for the day, and re:Fee 4.03 TRX against 11.05 TRX. Those two charge something closer to a real premium for time, though still nothing like proportional to it. Two of six is not a minority you can ignore: check the platform you are actually using rather than the pattern.
Ten days for the price of under nine hours
Only two platforms publish a complete ladder out to ten days without any estimate from us. Feee.io quotes 13.24 TRX for three days and 42.81 TRX for ten; Tronify quotes 42.25 TRX for ten days against its hourly figure above. Hold either against the same platform's one-hour price and, in the current scan, ten days costs less than nine separate hours would.
Two hundred and forty hours for the price of under nine. Restated as a cost of holding energy, the hourly product runs to somewhere between twenty-five and thirty times the per-hour cost of the ten-day one at these two. Nothing else on this board varies by that much.
Why the hour dominates anyway
This next part is inference and we will label it as such, because we can see prices and not business decisions. The hour is not priced to be good value per hour. It is priced to be the convenience product, and it fits the job almost everyone is buying for: one transfer, done in seconds, nothing left to manage. Almost every platform on the board sells it and little else, which is the market agreeing with that reading.
The consequence for a price board is worth being blunt about. Our headline column, the one the table sorts on, is the convenience price. It is the right default because it matches what most readers are doing. It is not the cheapest way to hold energy, and it was never going to be.
The stable end of the board
One more thing falls out of the archive, offered as an observation rather than a recommendation. Across all 96 scans in the window we hold, the cheapest name at the one-day term never changed. At the one-hour term it did. Fewer sellers reach the daily market, and the ones present were not repricing against each other scan by scan.
A caution attaches to that. The platforms that lead the day term tend to carry conditions that a headline price does not show, such as an order minimum well above one transfer's worth of energy, or a refundable deposit that our figure excludes. Those are set out on the comparison matrix and on each platform's own page, and they can matter more than the rate.
What this does not tell you
The obvious next question is whether a longer rental lets you send more than once. We cannot answer it from price data. It depends on how a given platform delegates the resource and on how TRON's own regeneration behaves over the rental, and this board measures neither. Anyone who gives you a confident multiplier here is telling you something they have not measured either. Test it with one small rental on the platform you intend to use, before you rely on it.
How to use it
If you send once and rarely, the hourly column is the right one and the only question is which row. The cheapest quote as this page loads is 1.30 TRX at the cheapest platform on the board, against a market average of 2.93 TRX, and picking the wrong row costs you more than any term will save you.
If you are holding energy rather than spending it immediately, price the longer terms before assuming they are the extravagant option. On most of the platforms that publish both, they are not. Start at the board, switch the term, and check whether the cell you are reading is a quote or an estimate before you conclude anything from it.
