Five things worth knowing
TRON charges energy for smart-contract calls, USDT transfers included. With no energy of your own the network burns TRX instead — 6.5 TRX for an ordinary transfer, since proposal #104 set the unit price at 100 SUN in August 2025. A rental platform delegates energy to your address for a fixed term instead. Nothing is staked, nothing is locked.
About 65,000 energy into a wallet that already holds USDT; about 130,000 into one that never has, because the contract has to create a balance entry. Burn them instead and the network takes 6.5 and 13.0 TRX. The cheapest live quote for each size is at the top of this page — hold them against those two numbers.
The board prices five terms: 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 3 days and 10 days. Only three platforms publish a 15-minute rate, and most multi-day cells are our own estimates from market ratios rather than scraped quotes — those carry a “≈”. For a real multi-day price, open the platform's own calculator.
Nothing anchors them to each other. Each platform sets its own SUN rate and moves it when it likes; TronMax and Brutus run bid/ask marketplaces, MeFree sells a flat price per transfer. We publish the result, not the reasoning: we do not track anyone's pool utilisation or the TRX price, so we will not tell you which of them moved a rate.
Nothing to your wallet. Delegation is non-custodial: the platform assigns energy to your address on-chain and you pay TRX. There is no contract approval to sign, and energy already delegated stays with you until the term runs out, whoever is still standing.
